Among the new-generation free trade agreements (FTA) of Vietnam, the Trans-Pacific Partnership Agreement (TPP) and the Vietnam-EU FTA (EVFTA) are considered as the two agreements that have a major impact to Vietnam trade policies, including investment ones.
When taking effect, investment commitments under TPP and EVFTA are expected to change significantly Vietnam investment environment, as these commitments are of highest standard so far, and investors from 38 partners of these two agreements account for a huge proportion of Vietnam’s FDI.
Following with the review against EVFTA commitments on investment, Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) continues to review Vietnamese legal framework against TPP commitments on investment in order to determine the incompatible content of Vietnamese law, and thereby figuring out recommendation for amendment to comply with the TPP commitments, as well as improve investment environment.
With the support of the British Embassy in Vietnam, VCCI has completed a draft review against TPP commitments on investment, and we would like to invite Sir/Madam to participate in:
