On July 25, 2023, at the Office of the Prime Minister of Israel, in the presence of Prime Minister of the State of Israel Benjamin Netanyahu and Deputy Prime Minister of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam Tran Luu Quang, Vietnam Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Hong Dien and Israel Minister of Economy and Industry Nir Barkat signed the Vietnam - Israel Free Trade Agreement (VIFTA).

Israel is the first country in West Asia with which Vietnam signed an FTA, and Vietnam is also the first country in Southeast Asia with which Israel signed an FTA.

The Agreement includes 15 Chapters and a number of appendices attached to the chapters with basic contents such as trade in goods, services - investment, rules of origin, technical barriers to trade (TBT), and other provisions. sanitary and phytosanitary measures (SPS), customs, trade remedies, government procurement, legal and institutional.
