The Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP), is a new-generation free trade agreement (FTA) with a deep and broad commitment that is expected to create a growth engine for the country. trade activities in the region and in the world. The Agreement has officially entered into force for Vietnam from January 14, 2019.
According to the commitment, CPTPP countries will have to cut tax rates of almost 100% of tariff lines to 0% after a certain time. This will help promote import and export activities between CPTPP countries. However, according to many experts, there is still plenty of room for growth if businesses make better use of opportunities from the CPTPP.
Therefore, in order to help businesses make better use of the commitments from the CPTPP Agreement, the Ministry of Industry and Trade has coordinated with the Government Negotiating Delegation on International Economy and Trade to compile a handbook "Comprehensive and Progressive Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP): A Detailed Guide to Commodity Market Access Commitments and Rules of Origin."
This handbook provides specific and detailed information on the contents and commitments of the Agreement related to import and export activities of enterprises, as well as instructions on how to access markets in CPTPP countries .
