Vietnam, Singapore pledge to promote free trade
23/03/2017 83Vietnam and Singapore pledged here Thursday to boost free trade, and continue joining regional initiatives including ASEAN Economic Community (AEC), Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP), and Free Trade Area of the Asia-Pacific (FTAAP).
The statement was made during talks between Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc and his Singaporean counterpart Lee Hsien Loong, who is here on an official visit from Tuesday to Friday at Phuc's invitation.
The two leaders said that strong development of the bilateral trade, investment and economic ties lays a firm foundation for the bilateral strategic partnership.
After the talks, the two leaders witnessed the signing of several cooperation agreements.
