The Government issued Decree No. 57/2019/ND-CP on Tariff Schedules on Preferential Export Duties and Specially Preferential Import Duties with a view to implementing CPTPP Agreement for the period of 2019 – 2022 on 26/06/2019

Tariff Schedules on Preferential Export Duties under CPTPP Agreement are set out in Appendix I to this Decree, including Commodity codes, description and preferential export duty rates applied to commodity codes over periods for exports to specific member states, provided in Point a of Clause 4 of Article 4 in this Decree

For example, export duty rates will be applied in the period of 2019 – 2022 as follows:

a, United Mexican States applies duty rates specified in Appendix I:

(i) From January 14, 2019 to December 31, 2019 at the column bearing the symbol “(I)”;

(ii) From January 1, 2020 to December 31, 2019 at the column bearing the symbol “(II)”;

(iii) From January 1, 2021 to December 31, 2021 at the column bearing the symbol “(III)”;

(iv) From January 1, 2022 to December 31, 2022 at the column bearing the symbol “(IV)”;

b, Australia, Canada, Japan, New Zealand and Singapore Republic apply duty rates specified in Appendix I:

(i) From January 14, 2019 to December 31, 2019 at the column bearing the symbol “(II)”;

(ii) From January 1, 2020 to December 31, 2020 at the column bearing the symbol “(III)”;

(iii) From January 1, 2021 to December 31, 2021 at the column bearing the symbol “(IV)”;

(iv) From January 1, 2022 to December 31, 2022 at the column bearing the symbol “(V)”;
