03/02/2020 206South Korea will attend a high-level meeting on a mega Asia-Pacific trade pact this week as part of its efforts to expand its trade network around the globe.
The trade ministry said the two-day meeting will kick off on Monday in the Indonesian island of Bali where the participants will set a detailed timeline of the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership with an aim to sign a formal accord later this year.
It will be the first gathering since the 10-member ASEAN bloc and five partner countries, including South Korea reached a provisional deal last November.
Together, the 15 countries make up close to one-third of the world population and global gross domestic product.
