The Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Criminal Procedure Code (Law No. 02) was approved by the 15th National Assembly of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam at its second session on November 12, 2021. This Law consists of 02 articles, Article 1 amends 06 articles of the Criminal Procedure Code, and Article 2 amends 01 article of the Law on Organization of Criminal Investigation Bodies.

The purpose and scope of the amendment of this Law is to meet the requirements, ensure the right roadmap for the implementation of commitments in the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP) for Vietnam and to resolve urgent problems arising in practice caused by natural disasters and epidemics.

This Law takes effect from December 1, 2021.
