On the evening of May 30, in Hanoi, the Israeli Embassy in Vietnam celebrated the 75th Anniversary of the Independence of the State of Israel (1948-2023); 30 years of establishing diplomatic relations between the two countries (1993-2023).

At the ceremony, Israeli Ambassador to Vietnam Yaron Mayer said that 75 years ago, escaping the Holocaust, the darkest period in Jewish history, Jews from different parts of the world spoke many languages. languages ​​and preserving different traditions, gathered in their ancient homeland to establish the State of Israel.

Sharing his thoughts on the Vietnam-Israel cooperation relationship, Ambassador Yaron Mayer said that the two countries established diplomatic relations in 1993. The relationship is developing strongly in many fields of economy and technology. High-level visits and cultural exchanges have further consolidated friendship, promoted mutual understanding and people-to-people dialogue, and provided learning opportunities and enhanced tourism for the two peoples. 

In this spirit of friendship, the two peoples have committed to knowledge transfer, cooperation in innovation and support for start-ups. The trade balance of the two countries has exceeded 2 billion USD. The upcoming Vietnam-Israel Free Trade Agreement will facilitate trade to a higher degree, as well as in the investment sector.

Cooperation in the fields of economy, science and technology, high-tech agriculture, people-to-people exchanges took place actively, actively contributing to the consolidation and development of friendship and cooperation relations. between the two countries.
