According to the statistics from the General Department of Customs, Vietnam's merchandise exports to the German market reached over 3.2 billion USD in the first four months of 2025, marking a significant 27.8% increase compared to the same period last year.

The leading export commodity group during this period was coffee, with 628.1 million USD, a remarkable 97.6% increase, accounting for 19% of total exports. Following closely were machinery, equipment, tools, and spare parts, reaching 470.6 million USD, up by 17.3%, and making up 14.3% of the total.

In third place were computers, electronic products, and components, with 403.2 million USD, a robust increase of 56.4%, contributing 12.2% to the total export value.
Several other product categories also saw substantial growth in the first four months of 2025 compared to the previous year: transport vehicles and parts increased by 55%; products made from iron and steel rose by 56.3%; pepper saw an 83.7% increase; and various types of iron and steel surged by 14 times.

To further boost exports and expand market share for fruits and vegetables in Germany, the Import - Export Department advises Vietnamese exporters to thoroughly meet the importing market's requirements. Beyond the mandatory minimum requirements, buyers often have specific demands for each product type.
