Vietnam, Customs Union Conclude FTA Negotiations
26/12/2014 58Vietnam’s Minister of Industry and Trade, Vu Huy Hoang and Eurasian Economic Commission Minister for Trade cum Head of the Customs Union’s Negotiator Delegation, Andrei A. Slepnev, signed the joint statement announcing the conclusion of negotiations of the Free Trade Agreement between Vietnam and the Customs Union of Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan (VCUFTA) at the Kien Giang Convention Centre, Kien Giang province on December 15, 2014.
It is expected that the two sides will complete the remaining technical issues and complete necessary internal procedures for the official signing of the agreement by early 2015.
The agreement includes criteria on trade in goods, rules of origin, trade defence, trade in services, investment, intellectual property, sanitary and phytosanitary measures (SPS), and customs facilitation.
