The seventh round of Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) negotiations was held in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, from 15-24 June 2011.  As part of the efforts by parties of TPP negotiation to promote the exchange of views amongst stakeholders, the Stakeholders’ Forum held at the sidelines of the 7th Round of the TPP. Important element creating difference of TPP is the ambition of the nine TPP Parties advancing further toward their goal of developing a high quality, comprehensive, 21st  century regional trade agreement. To make a careful, comprehensive negotiation plans in Trans-Pacific Partnership as well as in other agreements, the strengths and weaknesses analysis of all parties have impact on negotiation results. Up to now, the biggest economy, the United States’ participation has influenced to the TPP negotiation’s development, commitment scope and results. Thus, the information of U.S.’ objectives, ambitions and internal issue will determine the future of TPP.Committee on International Trade Policies

On November 13th 2010, President Nguyen Minh Triet had noticed that Vietnam officially joined Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) Negotiation as a full member. This followed Vietnam's announcement in the margins of the APEC Leaders Meeting in Yokohama in November 2010 that had completed the necessary domestic processes to move from associate member to full member status in the negotiations.
