The Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) has given Việt Nam and other ASEAN countries a perfect opportunity to become a centre of investment attraction, said Minister of Industry and Trade, Trần Tuấn Anh.

The Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) signed by 15 Asia-Pacific countries on Sunday would bring economic benefits to these countries and help strengthen regional integration, experts have said.

The Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership, the world’s largest trade pact, was signed on Sunday by leaders of 15 member countries after eight years of negotiations.

The RCEP can help Vietnamese companies increase exports and bring more high-quality goods to consumers in the country though that will mean rising competition.

RCEP includes 10 Southeast Asian economies along with China, Japan, South Korea, New Zealand, and Australia

Ministers from 15 countries in the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership agreed Wednesday to sign the long-awaited trade deal at a summit Sunday, leaving the door open for reluctant India to return later.

The Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) agreement, expected to be signed on November 15 within the framework of the 37th ASEAN Summit in Hanoi, will be the world’s largest free trade agreement (FTA)

The government is set to maintain tariffs on key farm products, including rice and wheat, under a large-scale regional trade deal between Asia-Pacific countries including China, according to a draft of the agreement seen Tuesday.

RCEP will open more opportunities for Vietnamese enterprises to expand their markets, boost exports, and participate in new value chains in the region, increase foreign investment attraction.

The Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) will be signed during the 37th Asean Summit which commences on Thursday, Nov 12, said Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Tun Hussein.
