New Zealand’s tariff commitments on imported goods under the RCEP

In the Full Text of RCEP, New Zealand's tariff commitments are specified in Chapter 2 - Trade in goods and Annex I - Schedule of Tariff commitments of New Zealand for RCEP members. Specifically:

- Chapter 2 – Trade in goods: Includes specific treatment principles for goods exchanged in the RCEP region, the most important of which are import tax commitments (reduction principles, national treatment obligations, etc.) and commitments on non-tariff measures (domestic taxes and fees, import and export restrictions, import licensing, etc.

- Annex I - Schedule of Tariff commitments of New Zealand for RCEP members: Schedule of tariff commitments that New Zealand makes to RCEP countries: Includes only 01 Schedule of tariff commitments applicable to all RCEP member countries.

This schedule of tariff commitments states specific tariff reduction commitments for each type of goods (according to HS code and according to the annual roadmap). To enjoy tariff preferences when exporting to New Zealand, products must meet the rules of origin and origin certification procedures under RCEP.
