Determine the import conditions applicable to goods imported into Malaysia
Not all goods are allowed to be imported into Malaysia, and not all imports are subject to the same import regime. Like other countries, Malaysia imposes import prohibitions (goods not allowed to enter) and import controls (goods that may only be imported with an import license, compliance with Malaysian standards, etc.), which are specifically set out in the Customs (Prohibition of Imports) Order 2023. Therefore, before importing goods into Malaysia, Vietnamese enterprises and Indonesian importers need to determine the applicable import status of the goods in order to fully comply with the requirements and prepare all necessary import documents and papers.
