This marks the third consecutive month of decline in fruit and vegetable exports, bringing the total export turnover for the first quarter of 2025 to just over 1.1 billion USD, down 13.2% compared to the same period in 2024.

Vietnam highly values and seeks to bolser comprehensive cooperation with Belgium, a key member with significant influence in the European Union, President Luong Cuong emphasized during his meeting with visiting King Philippe of Belgium in Hanoi on April 1.

Nguyen Dinh Tung, CEO of Vina T&T Import Export Service Trading Co. Ltd., stressed that tougher technical barriers in global markets are creating a level playing field, compelling exporters to prioritise quality and compliance.

The agreement is expected to generate over 20 million GBP (26 million USD) in revenue for the UK seafood sector over the next five years.
