China stands firm in opening wider to the outside world and fulfilling its various international commitments. Over the past decades, foreign enterprises, including US businesses, have not only been deeply involved in China's economic and social development, but are also expected to play a more active and crucial role in China's pursuit of fuller modernization.

Vietnam will investigate and evaluate biodiversity, aquatic resources, and the habitat of aquatic species in Vietnam's waters, including deep sea areas, shallow waters, and underground water areas, under the national programme on protecting and developing aquatic resources until 2030 approved recently by the Prime Minister.

Free trade agreements (FTAs) are an opportunity for Vietnam to expand export markets, attract investment and participate more deeply in the global value chain. However, it is necessary to perfect institutions and legal policy systems in accordance with international commitments to take advantage of FTAs.
