A delegation of enterprises from Azerbaijan has visited Vietnam to seek business cooperation opportunities.
The businesses operate in fields such as garments and textiles, medical equipment, information technology, education, food, chemicals, and beauty care.
Speaking at a B2B conference held on May 9 to link businesses from the two countries, Vice Chairwoman of the Women Entrepreneur Council at the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry Mai Thi Dieu Huyen said trade exchanges between the two countries have failed to match their diplomatic relations.
Vietnam wants to have better economic relations with Azerbaijan because there remains huge potential for cooperation, she said.
Two-way trade turnover reached $160 million in 2021 and then increased five-fold in the first five months of 2022.
Vietnam mainly exports computers, phones and components, seafood, and tea to Azerbaijan, while importing crude oil and oil products from the country.
