India, Slovenia to finish trade agreement by June
09/03/2011 205Kolkata, Mar 7 (PTI) Slovenia today said it is looking forward to wrap up negotiation for two agreements on trade and economic cooperation before June when the Slovak Prime Minister visits the country
"We are working on two agreements, one of investment guarantee and another on double taxation avoidance treaty. I think we will able to finish the talks before our Prime Minister visits India," said Slovenia Ambassador to India Janez Premoze here, while addressing the members of Merchants' Chamber of Commerce.
The small European country expects to double the bilateral trade with India in near future which currently stands at USD 302 million.
Premoze said they expected greater Indian participation in trade and investment and sectors like pharmaceutical and IT are areas of interest.
Meanwhile, Slovenia will shortly open a consulate in Kolkata to boost economic ties with this part of the country.
