Notice 690/TB-TT-CLT on the issuance of certificates of aromatic rice varieties to the UK and Northern Ireland to enjoy preferential tariff quotas under the UKVFTA

To implement the UKVFTA Agreement, effective from January 1, 2021, The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development was assigned to assume the prime responsibility for, and coordinate with other ministries in formulating a draft Decree amending and supplementing a number of articles of Decree No. 103/2020/ND-CP dated September 4, 2020. 2020 of the Government. Up to now, the Draft Decree is being finalized. However, some enterprises have had contracts to export rice to the UK, they need confirmation of aromatic rice varieties to enjoy preferential tariff quotas.
In order to promptly support enterprises exporting aromatic rice to the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland to enjoy preferential tariff quotas under the UKVFTA Agreement, the Department of Crop Production shall issue certificates of aromatic rice varieties exporting to the UK and Northern Ireland according to the form specified in Decree No. 103/2020/ND-CP if the units wish to apply for certificates in order to export to the UK and Northern Ireland.
