In 2012, businesses legal assistance activities of WTO and International Trade Center were carried out on 03 major areas:

1. International trade policy advisory

VCCI acts as the representative of business community to consult, recommend, request Government in trade policy, especially trade opening negotiation. In 2012, first year implementing the Prime Minister's Decision 06/2012/QD-TTg on consultation for business community in international trade agreements, VCCI is assigned as the representative, WTO and International Trade Center implemented research and built Action plan to carry out Decision No.06 and Guiding associations to build industry development strategy and dozens other policy advocacy activities;implemented 04 major policy advocacy campaign on Intellectual property, Labour, Investment, and Rules of Origin negotiation plan in TPP. The center also comments on dozens legal documents/Proposals/Programs on various issues in Vietnam's international economic integration process to best protect the interests of the businesss community.

2. Assisting businesses in issues relating to trade remedies 

The Center provides businesses with legal supports relating to trade integration, especially the use of anti-dumping, subsidy and safeguard lawsuit of Vietnam's goods in other countries. In 2012, WTO and International Trade Center provided 10 support packages (information, legal consultation) for Vietnam associations and businesses on antidumping investigations of Vietnam's goods in foreign markets.

3. Providing information, training, advice and other support on trade integration

This is considered one of the most successful activities of the WTO and Integration Center. WTO and International Trade Center is currently the biggest reputable hub of information and advice on trade integration for associations and businesses with 04 websites (www.chongbanphagia.vn (Vietnamese)/www.antidumping.vn (English) and www.trungtamwto.vn (Vietnamese)/ www.wtocenter.vn (English) with a total of over 11.5 million visits and average of 20 articles posted daily; 04 conference on integration issues 18 integration-related news bulletins for businesses; provide hundreds of business consultations via phone, email ...
